However, I promise and guarantee that anything I produce is 100% virus, malware, spyware, rootkit, and anything-that-you-can-come-up-with-ware free. Unfortunately that's a risk in many downloads these days, which is a sad thing to consider. Not that this is the case here, I'm just telling you why people aren't big on custom builds. People ignore builds like this because of security reasons, you could easily install a rootkit into custom firmware and most users would never be aware of its existence. Don't forget that upx can compress mips32 binaries quite a bit actually, but sometimes they won't run afterwards.just test it after compression. Stripping can cause problems, but rarely.if it is a small binary unstripped I wouldn't bother. It's still ~100kb bigger than OpenWRT's but I don't think I can strip too much more off of it. I'm not sure if this will cause any problems but if you have problems with this version try one of the versions above. Okay, I've gone and stripped down all the executables and libraries, which has vastly reduced it's size (roughly by half). I'll investigate and see how far I can bring the size down. The actual NTFS-3G builds are pretty similar, so you're right, not much of a size difference. Nethear R6300 v2 - Latest Kong dd-wrt always These won't fit onto jffs with big builds. How come IPKs are way bigger than the ones from openwrt. I'll test this out as soon as I have some spare time. Wow it's a shame people are ignoring this. NTFS-3G changelog from version 2009.4.4 (version currently available) to this version: Feedback is always welcome, let me know if it works for you or if it doesn't (error messages are ALWAYS helpful ) This is very much a testing package, and I would not entirely expect this to run 100%. If you are looking for the NTFS-3G driver and the required FUSE module, see my post beneath this one.Īs always, use at your own risk, I am not to be held responsible for any damages while using the included software, blah blah blah. Also included are ntfsprogs, a set of utilities to create and manipulate NTFS file systems.Posted: Tue 21:23 Post subject: NTFS-3G Driver - K2.6 buildsĮdit: This build ONLY contains the NTFS-3G driver. Most POSIX file system operations are supported, with the exception of full file ownership and access right support. It provides safe and fast handling of the Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000 and Windows Vista file systems. The NTFS-3G driver is an open source, freely available NTFS driver for FUSE with read and write support.
